The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) invites applications for multiple tenure-track / tenured faculty positions in the fields of Energy / Thermo-fluids Sciences. We welcome applications from candidates focused on Emerging areas of Energy / Thermo-fluids.
Applicants should have a PhD in mechanical engineering or related areas, and are expected to have recognized pertinent academic, research and / or industrial experience. Successful candidates would be expected to establish externally-funded research programs and have strong commitment to teaching and mentoring.
HKUST is a world-renowned, international research university in Hong Kong. The University has been ranked among the top universities in Asia by QS Asian University Rankings. Its School of Engineering is dedicated to maintaining a world-leading expertise in mechanical and aerospace engineering and has recently invested in advanced computational and experimental resources. There are 30+ faculty members, about 450 undergraduate students and 450 postgraduate students in MAE Department. Appointment at all ranks (Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor) will be considered. Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
