Freelance Localization : Traditional Chinese (J to TC)

About the role

Side is currently recruiting a  Freelance Traditional Chinese Translator  for our global translation operation. We're looking for candidates with advanced language skills and in-depth cultural knowledge .

You will be responsible for correctly translating video game content and acting as an interpreter to change other associated text into  Japanese to Traditional chinese (簡体字） . You will follow product-specific guidelines to ensure the maximum linguist quality and adherence to all relevant conventions. You will be working as part of a team of language specialists to produce high-quality translations, either by translating yourself or reviewing documentation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Create or helps create glossaries and style guides following pre-defined guidelines from the client.
• Create or helps create characterisation documents
• Carry out translation work following provided guidelines and instructions, including First Party terminology.
• Carry out revision work following provided guidelines and instructions, including First Party terminology
• Work as part of a larger team of translators or revisers
• Provide linguistic feedback for work carried out externally.
• All work is carried out by meeting the outlined deadlines and industry-standard productivity figures.
