Who we're looking for

We are looking for a talented DevOps / Site Reliability engineer with development and / or system engineering background, with passion on managing our on-premises and cloud infrastructure.

You will be a key player of a talented team of engineers to deliver our FinTech platform in the cloud, working with our energic business and technical teams in a fast-growing, highly productive environment.

You will also ensure our production platform and development environments are in healthy and secure states, and strive to achieve high performance, zero operational downtime and minimize defects and anomalies.

What you will be doing

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure for WeLend
  • Manage our continuous deployment pipeline
  • Write and maintain automation scripts to increase repeatability and decrease time required to keep our system running
  • Plan and develop automated test for cloud-based products in agile development approach
  • Research new technologies, techniques and 3rd party frameworks to benefit the automation
  • Improve reliability, availability and performance of the highly scaling cloud systems with recovery automation
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools

About you :

What is required and what we’re looking for :

  • BS / MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
  • 6+ years of work experience in development / IT teams with minimum 3+ years of experience in high performing DevOps teams focusing on scripting, automating, configuring and troubleshooting B2C and B2B cloud and hybrid-based environments.
  • Experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks and development and production environments (e.

g.,Tomcat, Apache, MySql, Postgres, NGINX)

  • Cloud experience, preferably in AWS
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Docker)
  • Experience with monitoring systems and automation software
  • Experience with other DevOps, configuration management and application performance tools (e.g. GitLab, Ansible, Chef)
  • Working knowledge in IAC (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Development for CI / CD Automation
  • Automated monitoring and recovery development for highly scalable systems
  • Automated test development including test script, validator
  • Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Python)
  • Solid networking knowledge
  • Knowledge with cyber security
  • Attention to detail and think-outside-the-box mentality
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Good command of Cantonese and English
