Assistant IT Manager
Duties
- Database administration, security and access control; capacity planning and performance tuning; creation, maintenance and monitoring of enterprise database within the University;
- Providing application support and resolving problems related to the enterprise database;
- Providing an application infrastructure for system development and operation in the department;
- Application system development; and
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ relevant post-qualification working experience;
- Solid experience in Oracle database administration and development with SQL, PL / SQL, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery;
- Good analytical mind and interpersonal skills;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese are required; and
- Working knowledge of Ellucian Banner and Exadata is highly preferred.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract;
