Research Assistant(s) / Junior Research Assistant(s)
Description
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Science or related discipline from a recognised university; (ii) self-motivation, a good sense of responsibility and good problem-solving skills;
and (iii) good communication and writing skills. Experience in molecular biology (i.e., Western blot, IHC, qPCR) or in vivo experimentation (i.
e., stereotactic brain injection, gavage, i.p. injection, behavioral assays) is preferred. Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Junior Research Assistant(s).
The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) performing research on neurodegenerative diseases and aging research projects in the basic neuroscience laboratory;
b) co-ordinating laboratory business and activities; (c) managing database; and (d) performing other duties as assigned.
The appointee(s) will primarily work at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
