Dairy Farm Officer (Post A)
Duties
- Assist the Farm Manager in developing and implementing Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) and overseeing all farm operations and routine veterinary and para-veterinary tasks, such as artificial insemination, foot-trimming, treatments etc.;
- Teach and supervise students on-farm and liaise with academic farm animal teaching staff during extramural studies, rotations and practicals;
- Coordinate with the Farm Manager and colleagues during training and working;
- Assist the Farm Manager in coordination with outside contractors and suppliers, including planning of feed and other resources;
- Lead the team and oversee the farm, including out of hours, on a rotational basis during absence of the Farm Manager (e.
g. teaching, holidays, days off and contingency during pandemic); and
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Shift duty during irregular hours and working on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays will be required.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science / Animal Science or related disciplines with at least 2 years’ experience, or Associate degree or Diploma in related disciplines with at least 7 years’ working experience.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good communication and interpersonal skills;
- good analytical and organisational skills; ability to foster collaboration, supervise and motivate staff to work towards a common goal;
strong commitment and ability to work under pressure are required.

Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract;
