Who we're looking for
We are looking for an energetic Senior Manager, Solution Enablement to join our team based in Hong Kong.
What you will be doing
- Manage portfolio of projects of our automated policy management platform across different customers and locations.
- Manage and coordinate project activities and apply appropriate methodology and governance to ensure deliverables are met on time and within the budget allocated
- Manage project change management activities including preparing training materials and conducting user training
- Manage multi-discipline project teams (e.g., engineers, designers, analysts, etc.) across multiple geographies to ensure timely delivery against timelines
- Identify and document all the required activities to deliver and build the plan accordingly
- Carefully manage the plan as well as the risks and issues and translate the plan into tangible timelines and milestones;
develop and track mitigation options when required
- Work with Coherent teams to translate our customer needs into our products which will help Coherent stand out in the insurance industry
- Analyse business and technology processes to design and deliver innovative solutions
- Implement the critical pathway for multiple project completions
- Define the delivery process with a deep understanding of large, Enterprise level IT Programmes of work
- Identify and monitor the key external dependencies that could affect the delivery
- Act as a first escalation point : able to remove any blocker preventing the delivery; able to escalate in a timely way to senior management when required
- Report regularly to management and key internal and customer stakeholders (including C-Level) the project progress and status as well as potential issues / decisions needed
- Support proposals by identifying the work scope and building the estimated timeline / roadmap to support commercial propositions
Who you are
University graduate with at least 8-10 years solid experience in the Insurance / Banking industry, exposure of key positions in Business Process Management, Change Management, Technology and / or Management Consulting;
with at least 7 years in a Project Management role or equivalent capacity
- Proven track record in delivery of large projects in a sizable organization experience implementing Insurance Administration Systems highly desirable
- Project management certification (PMP, SCRUM, PRINCE etc) with focus on Agile methodology preferred
- Expertise in software development methodologies (SDLC, Waterfall, Agile) including being seasoned Jira and Confluence is desirable
- Results oriented, able to work in high pressure environment
- Strong sense of ownership for the project and demonstrate commitment to driving project objectives
- Demonstrated ability to work with different cultures, and with proven negotiation and leadership skills; strong coordination skills and capability to drive the contributors and stakeholders who have different priorities;
ability to influence and facilitate executive level decisions
- Ability to identify project risks and to recommend mitigation actions
- Pro-active and forward thinker : able to anticipate and to take action accordingly
- Able to be comfortable at the deepest level of details and to be able to articulate a clear summary to senior stakeholders when required (covering both technical and business aspects)
- Thinks critically about project delivery, challenges the status quo to identify opportunities to enhance processes and services
- Demonstrate strong moral principles to do what is right for the customers, employees and partners; have the courage to speak the mind and not afraid to push boundaries
- Strong academic credentials with a bachelor’s degree from a top tier university specific specialisation in business / technology / engineering related disciple will be highly desirable;
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate business opportunities, customer problems
