We are currently working for a portfolio company in the energy sector backed by a Global PE fund to look for Compliance Manager based in Hong Kong / Singapore. This opportunity provides high calibre professionals a chance to join a growth-stage unicorn and grow with a leading company in renewable energy industry
JOB RESPONSIBILITES
- Responsible to ensure due compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements to the firm's businesses, internal policies and procedures
- Manage regulatory enquiries and inspections; Advise internal stakeholders on compliance related matters and offer practicable solutions
- Develop and formulate compliance framework, policies, procedures and process to manage external and internal risks effectively
- Independently assess the effectiveness of existing governance control and risk mitigation frameworks, determine the impact of control issues, identify improvement areas and gaps and assist relevant stakeholders in bridging the gaps
- Organize, lead and execute strategic initiatives on governance controls and risk management
- Regularly monitor key risk indicators and mitigation plan progress and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
- Carry out regular compliance reviews and testing; and assist in the preparation of reports to the management and stakeholders
- Promote risk and governance awareness and competency through ongoing communications, training and workshops; provide internal regulatory updates on compliance related issues
- Other ad hoc compliance duties
