Assistant Officer (Security)

The appointees will be required to assist the Manager (Campus Security) to manage the University’s CCTV system. Duties include collecting user requirements, solving user problems and difficulties as well as ensuring that the consultants / contractors' proposals and works are technically safe and feasible. They will be required to wear uniform, perform shift duty, work irregular hours and perform duty during typhoon condition and other critical situation.

Applicants should have a certificate or above, preferably in Information Technology; and have obtained at least 6 years of relevant work experience in security field. A valid Security Personnel Permit and no criminal records are required. The ideal candidates should also have pleasant personality, good interpersonal skills and teamwork spirit. Proficiency in PC skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and possession of professional qualifications in first aid, firefighting, driving and knowledge of CCTV operations, modern security automation and building services systems are preferred. Relevant experience in CCTV operations, access control and handling AI products will be an advantage. (Duration : 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
