Responsibilities : Job Description :

The Strategic Development Manager will serve as a strategic advisor and counsel to leaders in Chief Operating Office, assuming day-to-day responsibility for strategic projects and reinforcing cross-departmental collaboration to enable business success.

As a direct report to Chief Operating Officer, the following key responsibilities are identified.

  • Strategic Planning : Lead the annual strategic planning process for the Chief Operating OfficeSupport the Chief Operating Officer in working with external strategic partners and internal stakeholders to define and align strategic business opportunitiesAssist Chief Operating Officer in setting strategic priorities by providing recommendations based on market research and Leadership Team’s inputsPrepare and coordinate business reviews and strategy reports, both on a local and Group levelMaintain a high degree of awareness / knowledge of industry trends to ensure an outside-in perspective when defining the strategy
  • Driving the Execution of Strategic Initiatives : Drive the implementation of strategic initiatives and oversee large, cross-functional organization-wide projects / initiativesBring together multiple stakeholders to help drive decisions and ensure efficient and streamlined processesWork with Chief Operating Officer and COO Leadership Team to track progress and report on strategic prioritiesConduct research, benchmarking, analyze data, and make recommendations
  • Direct Support to Chief Operating Officer : Assist Chief Operating Officer in overseeing Operations performance, improvement actions by Leadership Team and progress of actions Collaborate with Leadership Team, Business Finance and Expense Management on division cost budgeting and cost controlSupport Chief Operating Officer in reviewing internal and external communications

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from a reputable university or college
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in consulting or financial services (insurance experience is preferred)
  • High-energy individual who can handle complex situations to achieve favorable outcomes
  • Capable of interacting with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of seniority
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Team player and good coordinator
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese
  • More experienced candidates will be considered for a Senior Manager position
