Job description

Job Duties

As an Insurance Manager for our construction company, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of insurance operations to ensure adequate coverage and risk management. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to assess, mitigate, and manage risks associated with construction projects.

  • Insurance Coverage Analysis: Evaluate current insurance policies to ensure they adequately cover the company's assets, liabilities, and operations.
  • Claims Management: Handle insurance claims efficiently and effectively, working closely with insurance providers to expedite the process; develop protocols and workflows in claims management.
  • Policy Procurement: Secure appropriate insurance policies for new projects, equipment, and personnel, considering the specific needs of each construction project.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all insurance laws, regulations, and industry standards, staying abreast of changes that may impact the company.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the insurance budget, ensuring cost-effective coverage without compromising quality or compliance.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with insurance companies, brokers and other relevant parties to negotiate favorable terms and resolve issues promptly.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of insurance policies, claims, and risk assessments, generating reports as needed for management review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in insurance management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and best practices.
