Assistant Accountant (Payment) | Foreign Private Equity | HK$25-30K

An excellent opportunity to join a well-established PE firm in Hong Kong. Our client is known for being in the Top 10 ranking by total equity with over US$200 Billion in total assets. They are now hiring an Assistant Accountant position to handle payments and system implementations for their APAC regions. Find out more from below.

About the team :

Team of 12-15, relatively stable team, friendly team, work life balance (not much OT), regional exposure and looking for someone who could handle AP and payment process individually with supports from offshore team.

Job Descriptions :

  • Monitor payment cycle in the core accounting system as well as to perform bank payment functions via online banking portals
  • Responsible for monthly staff reimbursement and audit travel and entertainment expenses via T&E system and other expense systems
  • Work closely with internal parties to handle invoice issues, vendor management as well as to verify invoices and other requests for payment approval
  • Prepare and support month end closing duties including reconciliations, schedules and breakdown
  • Support system related tasks, e.g. system upgrade and / or process enhancement
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by management
  • Job Requirements :

  • Degree Holder in Finance & Accounting, Professional Accounting or Business Administration with major in Accounting, or any equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of in-house accounting experience, ideally someone who has experience in handling APAC Payment or who has experience in handling high volume of payment duties
  • Great command of written and spoken Chinese and English to communicate with offices around APAC regions
  • Sound knowledge in Accounting systems (ERP) as well as online banking portals
  • Proficient in MS office applications, Excel, Word Process and PowerPoint
  • Team player, proactive, problem solver, mature mindset, well-organised with great interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and able to explain to non-finance people within the organisation
