Lead the design and implementation of data center facilities, including electrical systems, IT spaces, server racks, and network cabling.
Conduct site assessments to evaluate collocation rooms, legacy upgrades, and overall facility readiness.
Analyze risk and system availability for vendor-operated collocation data centers.
Continuously review and adjust DC and comms room requirements to support evolving business needs.
Investigate and analyze root causes of equipment failures.
Coordinate with local authorities to ensure compliance with building codes and other regulatory standards.
Liaise with utility companies to manage site power and infrastructure requirements.
Collaborate with commissioning teams to test and validate electrical, mechanical, and fire systems.
Support ongoing operations through utilization tracking, efficiency improvement, and failover analysis.
Work closely with internal IT, network, server, and application teams to maintain consistent service standards.
Travel to data center sites across all CITIC Securities Group locations when needed.
Requirements :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Data Center Management, or related field
Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP)
10 -15 years of experience in data center construction, operations, or maintenance
Minimum 5 years in mission-critical field engineering roles
Deep knowledge of both mechanical and electrical data center systems
Familiar with international codes related to DC design and operations
Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical / mechanical one-line diagrams
Experience with electrical protection systems and coordination
Able to lead complex technical projects and deliver effective solutions
Hands-on experience with key DC infrastructure : UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, VFDs, ATS / STS, chillers, pumps, CRAC / CRAH units, and air-side economizers
Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality
Innovative thinking, especially in cost-effective, reliable DC solutions
Excellent communication in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus
