Responsibilities
- Planning and implementing the group's capital works, alteration & addition works, as well as restack and renovation projects within budget, on time and to the firm's standard of quality as well as applicable statutory requirements.
- Work with the end users and the operating team to deliver project solutions that support the operation's needs.
- Work closely with the Central Procurement team to select thepetent consultants, contractors and vendors to execute a project.
- Act as a single point of contact (technical) between the end users and the consultants / contractors, providing technical advice and the development of project brief documents, and be able to clearly articulate the key objectives and the project scope.
- Work collaboratively with other disciplines consultants project managers and design managers to assist the external M&E engineer to conduct the engineering design and calculations.
- Oversee and feedback on the technical design proposals from both technical and financial perspective.
- Ensure conformance to corporate design standards, guidelines, procedures and specifications.
- Conduct shop drawing review and on-site field inspections during the construction phase.
- Ensure the projects are delivered in quality standard and a professional manner and assist the Project Lead to prepare the project progress reports to update the senior management on a regular basis.
- Monitor progress of work and ensure that technical quality, interdisciplinary coordination and production requirements are met.
- Work collaboratively with the team to manage project challenge, and monitor & mitigate any potential project risks.
- Ensure health and safety at work and ensure the team and the design isplied with the related statutory requirements.
- Facilitate and manage consultants and contractors for allernment related submissions for statutory approvals.
- Work closely with the project team to lead and manage testing andmissioning, practicalpletion, handover and defects rectification of engineering systems of all capital projects.
- Responsible for managing project close out from the owner's perspective, including managing the handover, and ensuring full set of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranty documentation and final account are in place and in order.
Requirements :
Experience in different scale projects from A&A works, office renovationsRecognised University Degree in Building Services Engineering or equivalentPreferably a member of relevant professional organizations, non-member of relevant professional organizations will also be consideredAt least 10 years of post-qualification relevant experience and 5 years should be in a supervisory positionExtensive experience and technical expertise in managing the time, cost and quality of engineering issues throughout the planning, design and construction processA thorough understanding of and skill in engineering design management and be technicallypetent in multi-disciplinary design integrationexcellent oral and writtenmunication skill in both English and Chinese and interpersonal skillKnowledge in Sustainability is preferredGood written, verbal and presentation skills with strong ability tomunicate in EnglishStrong leadership, well organized and excellent stakeholder managementStrong sense of ownership, business risk,pliance and efficiency improvementStrong vendor management experienceGood customer oriented with ability to handleplaints and problems in a timely, accurate and efficient mannerAbility to work independently and drive changeSelf-starter with positive attitude, a strong sense of accountability and able to perform under pressureHKEX ismitted as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
