The Department
Reporting to the Executive Manager, IT Governance, the Senior Technical Manager will be responsible for establishing the Project Development Life Cycle (PDLC) / Agile standard & process, defining responsibilities, and decision-making structures, to ensure consistency and efficiency in project execution. Monitor and ensure adherence to defined processes and procedures in IT activities.
In addition, the role will be supporting Head of IT Business Management (HoITBM) to access and redefine the requirements of the resources management system (RDPP), defining guidelines for resource allocation, and identifying a suitable system to facilitate effective resource management
The Job
PDLC / Agile Standardization : Review the current PDLC / Agile framework, propose and implement a standardized PDLC / Agile framework that aligns with industry best practices and organizational goals. This includes defining processes, roles, responsibilities, and decision-making structures to ensure consistent and efficient project execution.
Process Improvement : Continuously review and improve the PDLC / Agile processes to enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and adaptability. Identify areas for optimization, propose process enhancements, and drive their implementation in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Process Compliance : Implement effective controls by defining metrics to monitor and ensuring adherence to defined processes and procedures in IT activities. Conduct regular process health checks to identify gaps and non-compliance issues.
Resource Management System : Support the HoITBM to assess and redefine the requirements of the resources management system. This includes understanding project and operational demands, defining guidelines for resource allocation and utilization, and identifying a suitable system to facilitate effective resource management. Lead the sourcing and implementation of the chosen resources management system. This involves conducting vendor evaluations, coordinating with internal stakeholders, overseeing system configuration and customization, and ensuring successful deployment.
Stakeholder Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT project managers, business stakeholders, Finance and HR, to ensure alignment between resource management practices and project needs. Facilitate communication and coordination to optimize resource allocation and utilization.
Governance and Compliance : Ensure compliance with relevant governance frameworks, policies, and standards in both the PDLC / Agile processes and resource management practices. Monitor adherence to guidelines, identify potential risks or gaps, and recommend mitigation measures.
