Digital Engineering and Delivery Director - Leading Insurance Group

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the digital engineering strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Drive innovation in digital product offerings, ensuring they meet market demands and exceed customer expectations.
• Oversee the design and architecture of full-stack Java applications, leveraging frameworks such as Spring Boot and Angular or React for robust and efficient solutions.
• Lead the development of web and mobile applications, utilizing the latest technologies and best practices in both native and cross-platform development environments.
• Ensure the implementation of secure and efficient RESTful APIs, incorporating API management tools for optimal performance and integration.
• Guide the adoption and optimization of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for infrastructure scalability and reliability.
• Promote DevOps practices, including CI / CD pipelines, to enhance development efficiency and accelerate deployment cycles.
• Champion agile methodologies within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and flexibility in project management.
• Mentor and coach teams to effectively implement agile practices, ensuring faster and more efficient product delivery.
• Manage and inspire a sizeable team of developers, cultivating a high-performance culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of technology solutions with business processes.
