The Department
The Racing Marketing team is responsible to build 360 degree brand & marketing strategy to emotionally connect to our current and future target audiences. The department will elaborate storytellings that can “Simplify & Amplify, Rejuvenate & Dramatize” Horse Racing for the next generation of racing fans and the Gen Z. The department will develop a more consumer centric approach to market Racing as a Sport through engaging lifestyle content and creative stories about horses, jockeys, owners and trainers; stories that resonate with younger audiences and renew interest in racing as a sport. The mission of the department is to build long term strategic approach to the Racing Calendar, Major Race day Events and Sponsorship, enabling all segments and BU’s to syndicate aligned content, activations, visual ID and messaging, thereby reaching broader targeted audiences in a more consistent and impactful manner. The department will develop unique positioning for each racecourse as an entertainment destination, brought to life through lifestyle & entertainment programming and communicated through consolidated marketing channels and creative content unified in a single tone & manner.
The Job
You will :
- Ensure creative and smooth event staging by planning and maintaining the detailed operation flow, manpower andlogistics arrangement.
- Maintain good relationship with both external and internal stakeholders to deliver smooth raceday event operations andstrong customer experience. The candidate needs to use her / his great communication skills to ensure lobbying andalignment cross divisions in the club when sharing the content of the rundowns & organisations of events.
- Identify and evaluate risks with the Senior Manager / Manager that can derail project delivery and providing solutions to prevent them.
- To manage event’s budget and expense, as well as team’s operations and procurement exercises.
- Have to standby after work, on public holidays or duties on race meetings.
- Ensures compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club’s businesses.
- Undertakes other duties or ad hoc projects as assigned by the Senior Manager, Manager or the Executive Manager of REM&S.
About You
You should have :
Bachelor degree in Events Management, Marketing or Business-related disciplines6 years' experience in events / exhibition management, Public relations or marketing communicationsPassion in horse racing will be an advantageExcellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, detail-minded and be creative, proactive and result-orientedUnderstanding of print production, design creative, digital communications and social mediaExcellent written communication skills, great attention to detailsProficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPointAbility to be self-directed, multi-task oriented, and work under pressure to meet deadlinesFluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese with the ability to clearly communicate with key stakeholders. Fluency in Putonghua would be an advantageTerms of Employment
