Position Overview

Ralph Lauren is seeking to appoint an in-house legal counsel to support its business throughout the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Reporting to the Head of Corporate, Commercial and Data Privacy, APAC, the role will be based at the regional corporate office in Hong Kong SAR.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities :

  • Provide legal advice and support to Ralph Lauren’s business throughout the APAC region, on a wide range of matters including corporate, commercial, employment, and data privacy
  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts as required by various business / internal teams
  • Conduct research and provide analysis and advice on various regulatory and compliance matters that are relevant to the business
  • Working with global team members (based in the US and Europe) on global projects and / or to ensure consistency and compliance with global corporate policies
  • Manage and liaise with external counsel
  • Undertake any ad hoc legal projects and assignments as required

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Requirements :

  • Recognised law degree and admitted to practice in Hong Kong or any other common law jurisdiction(s)
  • 3 – 6 years’ PQE
  • Prior in-house legal experience in general commercial and data privacy matters is desirable
  • Strong contract drafting skills
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English (fluency in Mandarin Chinese or Korean would be helpful)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to occasionally travel around the region when required
