Job description

Our client is one of the designing and exporting companies in Hong Kong with a rich history specializing in kitchenware & houseware products.

Responsibilities : -

  • Review customer requirements and develop conceptual designs for new OEM and ODM product projects.
  • Operate 3D printers to create samples or collaborate with mainland modeling vendors to produce rapid prototypes.
  • Use SolidWorks or Pro-E to generate and modify 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
  • Ensure that test samples undergo comprehensive evaluations to meet customer specifications and quality standards in accordance with international guidelines.
  • Evaluate and test shot samples, compiling detailed reports on findings.
  • Validate tooling and processes for both sample production and mass manufacturing.
  • Provide technical guidance for product enhancements and conduct failure analyses.
  • Investigate design and manufacturing issues, identifying problems, proposing solutions, and executing troubleshooting measures.
  • Create complete product designs and specifications.
  • Manage project timelines and ensure adherence to sample deadlines.
  • Oversee project quotations, development processes, and production stages.
  • Meet with customers to deliver immediate technical support.

Requirements : -

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Proven experience in kitchenware or household products is essential.
  • Strong understanding of plastic injection and compression molding, metal stamping, and die casting processes.
  • Knowledge of secondary operations and decoration techniques for plastic and metal components, including coating, plating, and printing.
  • Hands-on experience in conducting dimensional and functional studies.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and beyond standard hours when necessary.
  • Familiarity with national and international food safety standards (e.g., FDA, LFGB).
  • Proficient in using SolidWorks or Pro-E as drafting tools.
  • Travel is required.
