Duties

Contribute to research and education (including teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, developing relevant curriculum, supervising students on research projects and under practicum / internship, and managing student activities and academic programmes) in the areas of Psychology, Criminology, Sociology or Social Work; actively engage in research and promote / participate in cross / interdisciplinary projects; and contribute to departmental administration and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

A PhD in Psychology / Criminology / Sociology / Social Work. Candidates for the Social Work discipline must have at least 5 years of post-qualifying social work practice experiences. Candidates are expected to have a strong track record in research, publications and grant acquisitions in their specialized fields. Preference will be given to those who are able to teach multi-disciplines.

Candidates for Assistant Professor should have demonstrated potential for high-impact publication and grant capture. Candidates for Associate Professor should have a strong record of original intellectual achievement, as evidenced by research or publications and grant capture as well as a strong teaching record and contributions to instructional development. Candidates for Professor should have a portfolio of significant contributions to their field of scholarship (including publications and the receipt of research grants or funds), and a strong record of providing leadership in teaching and educational activities (including supervision of graduate students) and professional experience.
