Our client is a well-established international law firm with over 20 offices globally. They are looking for an HR Manager to join their Hong Kong office. This HR Manager will be responsible for daily operations, C&B, law society compliance etc.

Job responsibilities :

  • Report to Head of HR and coach a HR Advisor
  • Provide generalist HR advice and support too fee earners and support staffs.
  • Support on employee relations, manpower planning, budget management and employee branding.
  • Oversee talent management, including annual appraisals, secondment opportunities, and skills development for fee-earning and support teams.
  • Maintain market knowledge to ensure competitive financial rewards and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law through effective application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Stay compliant with HK Employment Ordinance, HK Law Society, and ESSAR updates.
  • Identify and manage wellbeing initiatives for APAC offices.
  • Engage with the Talent Acquisition Manager in recruitment and trainee programs.
  • Perform additional, ad-hoc duties as required to meet business needs.

Job requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree holder or above
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in law firms, professional services firm or Financial Services
  • Prior HR generalist experiences is highly preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of Hong Kong Law Society requirements and experience in SuccessFactors would be an advantage
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Fluency across spoken and written Cantonese, English and Mandarin
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Flexible, adaptable and a fast learner
