Client Details

Our client is an European Food Trading company. With their business expansion, they are now looking for a Food Sourcing Specialist to join their winning team.

Description

Research and identify potential food suppliers in APAC, focusing on quality, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, producers, and industry stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure competitive advantage and compliance with company standards.
Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply chain dynamics to inform sourcing strategies.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure suppliers meet safety and regulatory requirements.
Manage supplier performance, including delivery schedules, product consistency, and issue resolution.
Maintain accurate records of supplier agreements, certifications, and sourcing data.

Profile

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Agriculture, Food Science, or related field.

3+ years of experience in food sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in EU sourcing office before

Strong knowledge of food industry standards and sustainability practices.

Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software; experience with ERP systems a plus.

Willingness to travel as needed (up to 25%).
