The Assistant Manager, Special Projects of Business Development will play a crucial role in supporting the Business Development team's strategic initiatives and driving growth. This position will be responsible for managing and executing special projects, conducting market research, analyzing business opportunities, and assisting in the development of new business strategies. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, and results-oriented individual with excellent project management and communication skills.
You will be responsible for :
Project Management :
managing and executing special projects related to business development initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards;
developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation. Track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies; and
coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and successful execution.
Event Planning and Execution :
planning and executing a variety of recurring and festive events, from ideation to execution;
managing event logistics, including registration, attendee communication, and on-site coordination; and
evaluating event success and identifying areas for improvement.
On-site Event Support :
providing on-site support during events, ensuring smooth operations and a positive attendee experience; and
overseeing event set up and handling ad-hoc tasks or requests.
Communication and Collaboration :
communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business development goals and successful event execution; and
preparing and delivering presentations to senior management and other stakeholders.
Ad-hoc Tasks :
performing ad-hoc market research and execution as required.
You should :
possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field;
have 5+ years of experience in business development, project management, event planning, or a related field;
have proven experience in planning and executing successful events;
be flexible, open minded, strong project management skills, including experience developing project plans, managing timelines, and tracking progress;
have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
have strong communication and presentation skills;
be able to work independently and as part of a team; and
be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
