Job descriptionDSE / Form 5 or above Minimum 2-3 years working experience in a testing laboratory; less experience consider as Assistant Chemist In-depth knowledge of ISO 17025 and accreditations requirement Knowledge of toy, consumer products, or food contact article safety standards / requirements in various countries Knowledge of measurement uncertainty estimation and application Knowledge of method validation or verification Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese Strong technical knowledge, Analytical mind and logical thinking
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine chemical tests according to standard operating procedures
- Operate the analytical instruments ( (e.g. GC / MS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, HPLC etc)
- Conduct equipment maintenance and calibration
- Ensure proficiency testing and internal quality control performed in laboratory
- Assist to perform method validation and measurement uncertainty and prepare accreditation audit
- Assist to develop and document test methods and procedures from relevant international standards, meeting both regulatory requirements and clients’ specification
- Assist purchasing of reference standards and consumables, maintain inventory record
