Introduction :
Overview : We are looking for a highly competent and motivated Test Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design and maintenance of software solutions for testing products and embedded systems. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in LabView, Python, and C++ within Linux environments (Ubuntu / Debian), as well as a solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure. This role is key to developing reliable test frameworks for photonic technologies, ensuring product performance, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain test software using LabView, Python, or C++ on Linux-based systems for validating embedded systems and products.
- Develop and fine-tune automated test scripts for photonic components, including Optical Switches, OSA, EDFA, VOA, and optical transceivers, ensuring system efficiency and stability.
- Integrate test solutions with GCP cloud infrastructure to support data analysis and reporting.
- Work alongside photonic engineers, software developers, and hardware teams to define test specifications, create test plans, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Utilize CI / CD tools such as GitHub or GitLab to support continuous integration and agile development.
- Analyze and interpret test outcomes to generate actionable recommendations that enhance signal integrity, performance, and system reliability.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, software architecture, and system configurations for knowledge sharing and long-term support.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related technical field.At least 3 years of professional experience in system software development with a focus on test engineering, preferably in photonic or optical systems.Proven expertise in LabView and Python, with experience developing test software for Linux-based environments.Strong understanding of embedded systems, user-level applications, networking, and Linux OS fundamentals.Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for cloud-based test integration and data analytics.Familiar with CI / CD pipelines and version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in relation to photonic testing and validation.Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.Ability to manage priorities and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced, innovation-driven setting.
