About your team
The Asia Pacific ex-Japan Institutional Sales team is responsible for business development and relationship management for institutional asset owners in the region, including government entities, insurers, pensions, corporates, endowments and family offices. Fidelity has well-established institutional business in the region with a wide-reaching network of client relationships, and is a key channel for the firm’s strategic growth priorities, including the distribution of investment capabilities managed by Fidelity International and Fidelity Investments, including both public and private markets strategies and ETFs.
About your role
This role will be responsible for institutional business development and client relationship management, including as a relationship lead contact and by providing client-facing support for senior relationship directors. The role includes day-to-day coverage of investment consultants’ manager research teams for Asia-managed strategies (equity, fixed income and multi-asset), which also involves regional and global connectivity and coordination within the APxJ institutional sales team and the institutional sales and consultant relations teams covering Japan, Europe, Canada and the USA. The role will also work closely with and provide direct support to the senior relationship directors covering institutional clients in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South East Asia.
Your responsibilities will include :
Business Development and Relationship Management
- Coverage of investment consultants in Asia ex Japan for day-to-day activities and business development efforts. This includes :
- Consultant manager research meetings, including presentation materials, internal briefings and pre- and post- meeting queries from consultants
- Client-facing support to senior relationship directors covering institutional clients in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South East Asia, including day-to-day business development and client servicing activities. This includes :
- Relationship management and servicing related activities for existing mandates, where required
- Understanding client requirements for new sales opportunities and identifying investment strategies and solutions
- Sales presentations for use with clients, including data analytics and positioning where required
- Support to client portfolio reviews, including presentation materials, investment data and follow up queries
- Support new sales opportunities end-to-end, including working closely with investment managers and product specialists, the RFP team, the onboarding function and other teams
- Support to the regional institutional business and strategy where required, such as desktop research on the institutional market landscape and client trends, mapping of client organisational hierarchies and key decision-makers, and tracking of sales activity and progress for key sales initiatives
