The Department

The Service Delivery Department is responsible for designing and delivering the Runway 2, “IT Digital Transformation Programme”. In addition, the department is responsible for the delivery of application solutions including Finance, HR, CRM and Enterprise Data Warehouse systems for the Club’s business portfolios and managing the IT Shenzhen delivery arm.

The Job

  • Be accountable to the Program Manager, Programme Director, Head of Department and the overall program / project for the production of deliverables within agreed timescale, quality and budget
  • Manage multiple scrum teams simultaneously and ensure they follow the agile methodologies to deliver quality products
  • Continuously improve the agile processes and practices used by the scrum teams
  • Coach and mentor scrum team members on the HKJC agility framework, agile principles and practices
  • Facilitate scrum events as specified in the HKJC Agility Framework, ensuring that all events are positive, productive, and kept within the time box
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and the scrum teams to define and refine the backlog
  • Identify and remove any impediments that may prevent the scrum teams from achieving their goals
  • Work with the development teams to ensure focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done
  • Monitor and report progress of scrum teams
  • Ensure adherence to the HKJC Agility Framework

As a liaison between technical and non-technical departments, and communicates with other management,

developers, product managers, and technical support specialists

Identify and manage relationships through effective communication with scrum team including third-parties and act as

the primary point-of-contact

  • Helping those outside the Scrum Team understand which of their interactions with Scrum Team are helpful

    • About You

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment
  • Experience managing multiple scrum teams simultaneously
  • Scrum Master Certification ( Scaled Agile, Scrum, SAFe, etc)
  • Experience in working with offshore development teams is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in English and Cantonese is required
  • Proficiency in Putonghua (written and spoken) is an advantage

    • The Scrum Master serves the Development Team in several ways, including :

  • Coaching and mentor Development Teams in an environment where agile is not yet fully understood or adopted
  • Helping the Development Team to create high-value products
  • Removing impediments to the Development Team’s progress
  • Facilitating Scrum events as specified in the HKJC Agility Framework;
  • Proficiency and hands on experience with Jira and Confluence tools
