Assist in managing the Insurance Risk & Financial Management sub-team under the Financial Reporting and Management team to :
1.Conduct regular experience monitoring and deep dive analyses to provide insights of emerging insurance risks to the business, and then drive the effective management of operating experiences and annual operating assumption setting.
2. Drive the transformation of data analytics process and modelling of insurance risks under economic valuation regime.
3. Participate in insurance risk advisory committees and collaborate with external professional bodies and reinsurers in gaining insights of the latest insurance experience trend.
Role Summary

- Conduct regular experience monitoring and deep dive analyses to provide insights of emerging insurance risks to the business, and then drive the effective management of operating experiences and annual operating assumption setting.
- Drive the transformation of data analytics process and modelling of insurance risks under economic valuation regime.
- Participate in insurance risk advisory committees and collaborate with external professional bodies and reinsurers in gaining insights of the latest insurance experience trend.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct regular experience monitoring and reporting, develop and enhance experience dashboard, perform deep dive studies to provide insights of emerging insurance risks to the business and to facilitate modelling of these risks under economic valuation regime (e.g. mortality improvements, policyholder options and behaviour).Assist in operating assumption setting based on experience and long-term view with the consideration of various financial metrics, and handle queries from stakeholders, e.g. regional office, internal auditors and external auditors to obtain audit clearance.Drive the data analytics process enhancement by more advanced predictive analysis tool, e.g. Alteryx, Power BI and enhance experience dashboard.Participate in various insurance risk advisory committees and prepare insightful and meaningful analysis based on experience studies to steer the effective management of operating experience.Collaborate with various actuarial sub-teams, e.g. Product, EEV, Distribution etc. to gather insights of the managing insurance experience.Supervise members within the team and provide ongoing coaching on actuarial / product / insurance knowledge.Job Requirements
University graduate majoring in Actuarial Science or equivalent subjectsMinimum 5 years of actuarial working experience.Associate of the Society of Actuaries or equivalent.Experience in financial reporting and experience monitoring is preferredSolid knowledge in life insurance industry, preferably with experience on insurance risk and experience monitoring.Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.Knowledge in Prophet, Alteryx, Power BI is a plus.Decent business and financial acumenAbility to be flexible, adaptable and work independently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and spoken English
