Job description

One of the premier telecommunications service providers which provide services for the public and international businesses in the region, is now seeking a Senior System Analyst to join their IT team in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and evaluate user requirements to produce functional requirement specification for user endorsement
  • Deliver IT solutions including the development, implementation, testing, documentation and maintenance of IT applications according to specification
  • Assure the technical decision, design and implementation are completed with advanced techniques and with accordance to IT standards
  • Assure the work in conjunction with Technical Service Team, and / or Vendors
  • Assure the highest quality of the technical solution delivery including but not limited to : system software, database solutions, open platform deployment, network and security requirements
  • Perform on-going daily operations and supporting tasks including :
  • Maintain updated Operations Manual for IT operation team to achieve service level agreement
  • Act as a team lead of a development team by providing motivation and developing team members to maintain competence
  • Supervise and control systems processes and be the primary contact for application and system support on responsible IT systems
  • Trouble-shoot problems

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 years IT experience with at least 2 years as system analyst or equivalent
  • Hands-on development experience in Java, JSP, J2EE, C / C++, Linux, ORACLE database, and web applications / services
  • Sound understanding of IT application environment and SDLC, operational practices, knowledge sources
  • Good understanding of the latest IT industry trends
  • IT projects implementation background, with mobile-related projects will be an advantage
  • Functional Project Management and business knowledge on mobile business is an advantage
  • A good team player with solid experience in team leading and development
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the able to work effectively with management and colleague
