The Company

One of the General Insurer in Hong Kong looking for an Underwriting Manager, covering property and casualty. The role is work life balance with work from home arrangement.

The Role

Provides technical underwriting support to Business teams on property and casualty.
Handle daily case referrals that fall outside their risk acceptance authority and ensure full compliance with all related underwriting rules and guidelines
Work in collaboration with Business teams through the production underwriting framework with an aim to achieve profitable growth for each main class of business
Facilitate regular performance review meetings, support to determine and implement effective underwriting strategies
Monitor underwriting results at company, team, business line, product or portfolio level and make recommendations for action to correct adverse trends
Regularly reviews underwriting workflow in order to allow efficient approval processes and speedy service turnaround
Provide support to Business and Marketing teams to ensure accuracy of insurance concepts in sales and marketing materials

Your Profile

Possess professional insurance qualification such as ANZIIF or ACII is preferred

At least 5 years' work experience in general insurance preferably with underwriting knowledge in Property and Casualty classes

Mature, independent, result and customer-oriented, self-motivated, business acumen

Good analytical, statistical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills

Excellent command of written & spoken English and Chinese

Candidate with less experiences will be considered as Assistant Manager
