Job Responsibilities :

People Management

Lead, mentor and grow a team of software engineers to support both internal and external customers.
Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Enforce compliance of policies and procedures.
Support career development for team members.

Project Management

Lead technical development for Octopus back-end systems, conduct feasibility study, evaluation and prototype development as required.

Liaise with relevant parties on user requirements, UAT testing, implementation and deployment.

Negotiate and manage customers and business partners.

Develop quality project management documentation including but not limited to project plans, test strategies, quality plans, project master schedules, project reporting, etc.

Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

Promote best practices in coding standards, testing, CI / CD, and DevOps.

Emergency Support

Coordinate various parties and support teams to provide timely and professional emergency support to the Octopus solutions, including the large-scale mission critical Octopus Clearing House System (OCHS) that handles Octopus card production, refund, settlement, blacklist and auto-reload services.

Knowledge Management

Knowledge sharing within the organisation to retain knowledge to enhance quality, profitability and market share.

Job Requirements :

University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certified preferred

Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in system development, project management and IT operations, with 5+ years in a leadership role. Experience in payment, settlement and reconciliation solutions is preferred

Track records in large-scale system design

Familiarity with security best practices and DevOps practices

Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies and project management tools

Experience in Oracle, Web service, MQ, AWS and MS Azure. Strong background in Java, Spring framework, etc.

Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English

Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.

Able to work under pressure and self-motivated.

Excellent problem solving and stakeholder management skills
