Join our Group Compliance Function as an Assistant / Compliance Business Partner in Hong Kong! You’ll play a key role in supporting sustainable business growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of ethical decision-making. As part of the Office of the General Counsel, you’ll work closely with business leaders and regulators to help deliver good client outcomes and manage regulatory risk.
The Role
- Develop, implement, and maintain an efficient, independent Compliance Function for Hong Kong and Macau.
- Monitor regulatory frameworks and respond to new or changing regulations.
- Assess and enhance policies, procedures, systems, and controls to meet compliance standards.
- Deliver compliance training and identify training needs within the business.
- Champion compliance culture by partnering with business management and providing pragmatic, risk-based advice.
- Support and oversee anti-money laundering and data protection programs as required.
- Investigate and resolve breaches of regulatory requirements or company policies.
- Conduct monitoring activities and escalate material issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain effective relationships with regulators and industry bodies.
- As a representative of the Second Line of Defence, monitor and facilitate the implementation of effective regulatory risk management practices by operational management in the Relevant Business and assist the risk owners in reporting adequate risk related information up and down the organization.
- Foster collaboration with Legal, Risk, and Internal Audit teams.
