Faculty Positions in Next Generation Infrastructure

With the aim to address the inter-disciplinary research and educational challenges related to the development of next generation infrastructure, the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering seeks to fill several faculty positions covering broad areas of structures built with innovative construction methods. Specifically, we are seeking candidates with a strong background in structural engineering and a particular focus on :

• Modular structures
• Robotically constructed and / or 3D printed structures

We invite applications for substantiation-track faculty positions at the Assistant / Associate Professor rank. Appointment at the Professor rank may also be considered for candidates with outstanding academic credentials and international recognition.

Applicants must have a PhD degree in civil engineering or a related discipline. The appointees are expected to demonstrate strong potential for effective teaching and promising research, as well as playing a key role in the development of projects in both fundamental and applied research.

Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including medical and dental benefits, annual leave and housing benefits will be provided where applicable. Initial appointment at Assistant / Associate Professor rank will normally be made on a 3-year contract, renewable subject to mutual agreement. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract. Appointment at Professor rank will be on substantive basis.
