Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Manages teams to consistently deliver design and technical excellence that meet high quality standards.
  • Demonstrates expertise in design and / or areas, establishing themselves as a specialist in a particular field.
  • Plans, coordinates and manages the project process, maintaining involvement throughout.
  • Liaises with project and design directors to ensure that innovative and thought provoking projects are delivered consistently.
  • Leads project meetings and client presentations, acting as the primary contact for client interaction and maintaining good relationships with clients to maximise opportunities for repeat business.

Client Relationships

  • Engages with colleagues to support the development of new business, enhancing internal and external communication via functions, events, forums and publications.
  • Assists in the preparation of fee bids, and undertakes fee proposals and fee negotiations for projects.

    • Budget Control

  • Demonstrates a sound understanding of cost control, fee charging and project finance, and ensures project targets are achieved through sensible management of time and allocated resources.

    • Education and Skill Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Landscape Architecture, ideally with Mixed-Use and / or Hospitality projects;
  • Middle East Projects experience is a MUST.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from a reputable University;
  • Creative candidate who is capable of leading landscape projects from Concept to Construction.
  • Experience in liaison with Clients, Consultants, Contractors and Suppliers;
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently as well as a team;
  • Experience in leading a team of Junior Landscape Architects, including work distribution, monitoring and making sure the tasks are completed on time and to required quality;
  • Experience in Project Management including preparing project plans, understanding financial side of projects and timelines;
  • Manage multiple projects of large scope & scale.
  • Excellent graphics, strong design and communication skills are essential;
  • Strong sketching skills and ability to communicate the ideas via hand sketches / drawings;
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign / Photoshop / Illustrator), AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape & Lumion, SketchUp, MS Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint). Knowledge of Revit would be a plus but not essential;
  • Demonstrates creative thinking abilities and contributes to firm wide design excellence and problem solving.
  • Must be mature, well organized, confident and hardworking with a pleasant disposition and strong interpersonal skills and able to multi-task;
  • Strong knowledge of tropical and sub-tropical plant materials and experienced in Planting Design;
  • Willing and able to occasionally travel overseas;
  • Outstanding work ethic.
