Director of Fitness & Recreation

The  Director of Fitness & Recreation  is responsible in the development and daily operation of programs, events and classes for the Club’s Fitness, Programs, Recreation and Spa department. Accountable for the daily management and leadership of F&R personnel and oversees but not limited to all the following areas : Gym Rooms in Town Club & Country Club, Pool, 6 Tennis Courts, 2 Squash Courts, 2 Golf Simulators, Spa, Outdoor Multi-purpose Court, Aerobic Room, Multi-purpose Room, 3-storey kid's playroom & Teenagers gathering room with game systems, pool tables, air hockey and a F&R service counter.

Job Description

• Directly responsible for the Club’s Fitness and Recreation Department and shall exercise authority over all matters in an efficient and financially sound manner with the policies and procedures approved by the Assistant General Manager and General Manager.
• Manage all fitness and recreation personnel and support in carrying out their assigned responsibilities.
• Work with stakeholders to plan and coordinate maintenance and upkeep of all Fitness and Recreation facilities and equipment in a timely manner and within budget.
• Ensure safe, secure and fun activities, programs and facilities for Members and their guests within the framework of the Club’s House rules and policies.
• Responsible for planning, developing, supervising and budgeting of all fitness, recreation activities, sports programs and special events, insuring reasonable responsiveness to membership requests.
• Act as Duty Manager when needed and handle any Member’s complaints or violation of House rules; rectify problems in a timely manner, recommend actions to prevent recurrence and report in “Incident Report”.
• Participate in selected community activities to enhance the prestige of the Club; broaden the scope of the Club’s operation by fulfilling the public obligations of the Club.
• Prepare recommendations regarding fitness and recreation services, facilities, pricing, programs, tournaments or special events and promotion of social functions to maximize utilization of the Club by Members and guests.
• Coordinate and run all Fitness and Recreation Committee meetings and liaise with said chair and co-chair.
