Chair Professor / Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor / Research Assistant Professor in Accounting (25260287)
The Department is inviting applications for various academic positions in accounting. Applications in all areas of accounting will be considered. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in financial accounting, accounting data analytics, and auditing.
Candidates must hold, or expect to hold, a PhD degree. Applicants for Research Assistant Professor should have strong potential in research and teaching. Applicants for Chair Professor / Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor positions should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in research and teaching and be willing to work collaboratively with colleagues. Appointees are expected to teach in various programmes (undergraduate, taught postgraduate, and PhD programmes), conduct high-quality research work, and supervise postgraduate theses.
The appointment is offered on a tenure track. The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of up to three years, starting from a mutually agreed date. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding. Outstanding candidates at Associate Professor or above rank may be considered for tenure on appointment.
The remuneration package includes retirement/gratuity benefits, annual leave, medical and dental scheme, monthly cash allowance/staff quarters, and relocation allowance wherever appropriate.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

They should upload on the System their teaching evaluation results for the last three years and samples of publications, preferably the three best ones out of their most recent publications. Applicants should also request two referees to send in confidential letters of reference, with the Job Identification number (stated above) quoted on the letters, to the Human Resources Office (Email: recruit@hkbu.edu.hk) directly. Those who are not invited for an interview 4 months after submission of the application may consider their applications unsuccessful. All application materials including publication samples, and scholarly/creative works will be disposed of after the completion of the recruitment exercise.
