Internal Tooling & Automation Manager
We are looking for an Internal Tooling & Automation Manager. This is a hybrid role - part product manager, part hands-on automation builder and process improver. You’ll own the roadmap for one of our core internal tools, while also rolling up your sleeves to build automations, overhaul processes, configure alerts, and create AI workflows to make our teams more effective.
If you’re the kind of person who can run a prioritisation session in the morning and write a SQL query or build a Slackbot in the afternoon, this role is for you.
A Day in the Life
You start the day by diving into an investigation of a spike in fraudulent activity - you smoothly move from diving deep into data to back test ideas, to pulling it all into a clear requirements doc for engineers. Before lunch you lead the weekly team meeting as PM - making sure progress on our core internal tool’s roadmap is on track.
In the afternoon, you meet with Finance and Ops to gather feedback on a process bottleneck. Instead of just documenting it, you leverage AI to spin up a quick prototype that demonstrates a viable solution. Later, you’re carefully reviewing our internal alerts, tightening logic so noise goes down and actionability goes up, plus making hygiene improvements like tagging and naming to make it more user-friendly.
Throughout your day, you engage with a variety of stakeholders, adapting your communication to translate technical details into business impact (and vice versa), all while managing potentially conflicting views and priorities.
You close the day by prioritizing incoming requests you’ve received from multiple teams - ensuring your limited resources deliver the highest impact.
Your knack for aligning diverse teams makes things work and drives us forward. You're in control, we win!
To succeed in this role, you’ll need :
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across different teams.
- Demonstrable experience in internal tooling, automation, workflow systems, or technical product / project ownership.
- Hands-on ability to build automations or AI agents (Zapier, n8n, Slackbots, etc.).
- Data-savviness : you’re comfortable with data tooling and happy diving into analysis to investigate problems and guide solutions.
- Comfort with APIs, integrations, and backend workflows, and discussing these with Engineers.
- Outcome-focused mindset, balancing speed with quality and risk control.
It’d be great - but not necessary - if you also had :
Background in product or project management, showing confidence in handling stakeholders and competing priorities. Some experience with SQL or similar query languages.Prior exposure to internal tools in fintech, iGaming, or other high-compliance industries.Experience setting up and governing alerting and monitoring systems that are reliable and actionable. You will be responsible for :
