Data Governance Lead

12-month contract, renewable

Our client is on an exciting journey to transform and digitalise our business and IT landscape. As part of this, they are growing the Data & Technology team and looking for an experienced Data Governance Lead / Specialist to shape and drive our firm-wide Data Governance framework.

What you'll do :

Own and manage the organisations Data Governance framework and policies

Lead data governance practices : ownership, stewardship, classification, protection, access controls

Operate and support the data governance committee, influencing senior stakeholders

Drive adoption of governance processes, tools, and SOPs across the business

Implement governance technologies (metadata, data quality, MDM, reference data management)

What you bring :

6+ years experience in data governance / data management (enterprise environment preferred)

Proven track record implementing data governance frameworks in complex organisations

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience with governance tools (e.g. Collibra, Informatica, Alation, IBM IGC, etc.)

Knowledge of unstructured data management and AI governance is a plus

Background in Financial Services highly desirable
