Job Summary
- Handling of Employees’ Compensation claims with focus on liability and investigation
- Provide quality and professional claims service to customers
- With moderate supervision to manage simple-medium standard (moderate severity) claims in the most effective, efficient way whilst delivering a customer centric claims service in a manner
Job Accountabilities
Develop a claim case strategy to ensure appropriate reserves are assigned with investigations conducted and appropriate suppliers engagedReview, resolve and proactively finalize claims within authority limits ensuring settlement at an optimum levelEnsure claims procedures, documentation is adhered to the group claims management requirement and best practiceTake proactive approach and involve in monitoring employees’ compensation claims to minimize claims settlementBuild up relationships with all stakeholders and achieve compromised settlement to conclude the case at the earliest and avoid litigationReport to Claims Manager on adverse trend of development of claims and for clients with adverse claims experienceProvide quality customer service to clientsEnsure all claims are processed effectively according to the company policiesSet and monitor reserve adequately and timely and ensure the authoritative level laid down are complied withIdentify all potential recovery and fraud casesPerform any other duties, task oriented or claims related as may be delegated by Claims ManagerJob Qualifications
Degree / Diploma holder or equivalent working experienceANZIIF / ACII would be an asset3 years EC claims management experiencePrevious handling corporate client would be an assetKnowledge in insurance principlesInterpretation of policy coverUnderstand industry standards and protocol with knowledge of claims agreementsGood knowledge of Employees‘ Compensation OrdinanceWith medical knowledge would be an assetGood command of written & spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin)Solid negotiation skills, both in written and verbalBe able to articulate how to prioritize and work to deadlinesDesire to learn and be flexible to business changeCommon senseKnowledge on PC softwareCandidates with less experience can be considered as Claims AssistantWhy Zurich
