Job description

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.

You will be responsible for :

  • work closely with the team in implementing learning, participatory and advocacy strategies and developing an array of public learning and family festival programmes at various levels for the purpose of audience building and widening participation;
  • collaborate and liaise with partners, artists, educators, schools, arts and cultural organisations locally and overseas;
  • partner with different internal teams, including but not limited to artistic, technical and productions, and venue operations, in developing learning and participation programmes across different performing art forms;
  • leverage social media and digital technologies to expand the depth and breadth of audience engagement especially with youth;
  • ensure resources are fully utilised to their maximum impact, in alignment with the Learning and Participation Team’s vision, mission and strategic priorities; and
  • undertake projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

You should :

  • possess university degree in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Performing Arts, Education or Cultural Studies or equivalent;
  • minimum 5 years of relevant experience in organisations related to arts, cultural institutions or higher education institutions, preferably with 2 years of supervisory experience;
  • Experience in developing learning and participatory projects targeting a wide range of audiences including students, young adults, professionals and families;
  • Ability to lead public facing projects of different formats through every stage from ideas to completion;
  • demonstrate a global mindset and good understanding of Hong Kong’s arts education landscape;
  • strong programme and budget management skills; and
  • good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
