AVP / VP, Integrated Risk Control -

Risk Management Department, EA - Risk Management Planning Group

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Establish and lead high priority initiatives with a regulatory focus to enhance the Bank’s risk governance framework, policies, rules and procedures
  • Implement new processes to enhance oversights of the Bank’s overall Risks, it includes managing Risk Appetite Framework and other key risk related matters such as Top Risks and Emerging Risks
  • Develop meaningful results in all aspects of projects / initiatives, effectively communicate recommendations to senior-level management and provide updates to external parties under guidance
  • Support the Risk team in identifying and developing solutions for Top and Emerging Risks and other key risks
  • Coordinate and deliver senior management level presentations as well as committee(s) materials, assume secretariat responsibilities
  • Act as a second line of defense (SLOD) on behalf of the Risk team and perform review and challenge to the first line and challenge the status-quo in various aspects within the Bank across all spectrums of businesses and functions
  • Responsible for taking the lead and / overseeing risk types includes but not limited to Model Risk Management, Reputational Risk, New product risk analysis, Group company oversight, ESG Risk and / or other integrated risk as assigned by department head

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, law or related discipline. ECF is preferred but not a must
  • 5+ years of full-time enterprise risk management, risk governance, consultancy and / or regulatory experience in the banking industry in Hong Kong
  • Understanding of the Hong Kong banking regulations in relation to risk management and familiar with the HKMA SPMs
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-tasks and prioritize, a self-starter with strong sense of ownership, accountability, and work ethic. Must be able to demonstrate both written and verbal communication effectively
  • Ability to adapt in response to changing circumstances and work in a fast-paced environment, both in dependently and as part of one team, and under strict deadline
