We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team, to work to play a pivotal role in enhancing our service to our clients. Your responsibilities will include closely collaborating with Custody Product Owners, Operations Teams, Risk Teams and Technology teams to create daily operational controls. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering our plan across HSBC and vendor system and driving long-term, automated solutions to improve efficiency and reduce risk.

Principle Responsibilities
- Execute and complete daily reconciliation controls across HSBC and Vendor platform with a high degree of accuracy and within strict deadlines.
- Investigate, resolve, and escalate any discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process in a timely manner.
- Analyze the current manual process and lead the implementation of automated checks to improve process and efficiency within 6 months.
- Create, maintain, and update :
- Comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all daily reconciliations and control processes.
- Detailed documentation for controls, reporting, and issue logs to ensure a strong audit trail and knowledge base.
- Documentation for client-facing plans
- Provide dedicated support for the vendor delivery plan including tracking actions, updating progress, and preparing materials to update senior management.
- Proactively support follow-up activities with the vendor and internal stakeholders to ensure the delivery plan is progressing as expected and deliverables are met.
- Support testing activities (UAT, regression, etc.) required for vendor system upgrades, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Support the daily vendor operational calls, including capturing detailed minutes, tracking action items, and following up with owners to ensure closure.
- Utilize JIRA to gather requirements, create user stories, and track tasks for process improvement and automation projects.
Requirement
- Knowledge of Asset services or Proxy Voting (not a must) or a similar financial analyst role with a strong control focus.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information, and a curiosity to ask appropriate questions to envisage full picture of requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and creating management updates.
- Write detailed procedures, creating process documentation, and control reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA for requirements gathering, backlog and task management.
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly depending on audience
