Operations Director, L / S Quant fund

Job Description

Oversee end-to-end trade lifecycle management , including execution, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation across global markets.

Manage relationships with prime brokers, custodians, fund administrators , and technology vendors to ensure operational efficiency.

Implement and maintain robust middle- and back-office systems to support high-frequency and algorithmic trading strategies.

Monitor and optimize collateral management, margin requirements , and financing arrangements across long / short positions.

Lead operational risk management , including compliance with regulatory reporting, audit readiness, and cybersecurity protocols.

Collaborate with portfolio managers and quants to align operational workflows with strategy-specific requirements , including shorting mechanics and leverage constraints.
