The Department
Among various duties of the External Affairs (EA) Department, one of the key roles is to act as a bridge between the Club and relevant external stakeholders through developing and maintaining amicable working relationships with them. EA is responsible for strategizing and implementing overall stakeholder engagement strategies / planning to support the Club’s business operations and achieve business objectives as well as other critical issues at both but not limited to District Council and Legislative Council levels. EA also formulates plans and strategies in supporting business departments of the Club by managing regulatory matters pertaining to the Club’s overall operation. It also oversees the Club’s Responsible Gambling Policy and practices to ensure that they are on par with international best practices; and is responsible for raising public awareness on the Club’s efforts in this area. Organization of social / community service programmes is also a key responsibility of EA.
The Job
You will :
- Participate in the planning and implementation of the Club’s volunteer services in various aspects, including sports, families, environmental protection and elderly services and encourage volunteers in different positions of the Club to participate in such services
- Maintain an up-to-date database of the Club’s volunteers and record their hours of services on a timely basis
- Conduct desktop research on issues relevant to the Club, district personalities and community organisations, etc.
- Assist in planning and executing corporate events and community projects by working closely with both external and internal parties
- Provide the team with administrative services and logistic support in liaison functions, corporate events as well as CARE volunteer service programmes
- Work closely with other departments within the Club and undertake resource management duties as needed
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisors
About You
You should have :
University graduated with a minimum of three years’ working experience in volunteer services, NGOs, event management or public relationsGood knowledge about CSR and community services, experiences working with NGO organisations will be a definite advantageA general idea about event management and general office administrationWeekend work is requiredHands-on skills of MS Office and Powerpoint applicationsAbility to be a good team player with positive working and learning attitude, be conscious, meticulous and self–motivated and be able to work independentlySelf-confidence with strong communications and interpersonal skills, a pleasant personality and interest in meeting peopleHigh level of proficiency in written and spoken English and ChineseTerms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
