Social Media Copywriter

Responsibilities

1.Assist in managing the social media accounts of ADCC (Anti-Deception Coordination Centre)

2. Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for social media platform of ADCC

3. Create compelling and engaging content in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English, encompassing various formats such as video scripts, captivating captions, informative articles, interactive stories, and community engagement post with a view to upholding positive and professional image of the Force

4. Collaborate with production and design teams to brainstorm innovative campaign concepts and content strategies that align with the overall communication objectives

5. Continuously track and analyze key content performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversions) using relevant analytics tools

6. Generate regular performance reports, identifying areas for improvement and optimization in content strategy and execution

7. Leverage data insights to refine content approaches, ensuring maximum reach, engagement, and desired outcomes

8. Perform any other duties as directed by the senior officers in the Force

Qualification

1. Bachelor degree or equivalent, in the disciplines of Communication / Chinese / English / Translation / Journalism / Marketing / Advertising / Creative Medica / Public Relations or related field

2. At least 3 full time post-qualification working experience in Chinese and English copywriting, specifically for social media or advertising campaigns for public relations, community engagement, corporate communication or social media marketing in a sizeable organization, and managing the digital and / or social media platforms website, Youtube, Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Facebook, Instagram)

3. Have attained Level 5 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent

4. Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese and English

5. Proficient in software applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adole Illustrator and generative AI (including ChatGPT, Midjourney and OpenArt), a basic understanding of visual elements (images, videos) and how they work alongside copy to enhance engagement on social media, knowledge of video and editing are considered an advantage

6. Have deep understanding of social media platforms Youtube, Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Facebook, Instagram) trends, best practices, and algorithms; familiarity with social media management tools and analytics platforms; Knowledge of SEO principles and how to optimize content for search engines

7. Posses strong interpersonal and communication skills, be a good team player with creativity and dynamism, attentive to details, and able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

8. Plan, execute and manage projects independently to achieve the communications goals

9. Understand user requirements and illustrate the workflow by creating a user interface prototype

  • Have high adaptability to an environment of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity
  • Passes a trade test (will be conducted during the interview of suitable candidates)
