The Racing Club is the young elite Member Segment in the Hong Kong Jockey Club that uncovers a unique way to savour racing and to explore the sport like never before. Its mission is to take the passion for horse racing to the next level through an endless stream of exclusive, tailor-made experiences.
The Job
You will :
- Drive new Membership recruitment by implementing strategies set by the Racing Club's Management; achieve the assigned targets, including team's and individual's targets which will be measured by the number of annual in-takes, Members' retention and whether the new recruits will become desirable Racing and Full Members in future
- Maintain good relationships and provide high-quality customer services to Members so as to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Expand personal network and work on new Member acquisition by conducting active sales activities to members on a continuous basis; follow up with potential Members and coordinate with internal departments on Membership application
- Manage the Racing Club Membership application processes for the Membership team, including the overall co-ordination with the relevant internal / external parties, assurance of compliance and identification of potential improvement areas
- Attend duty on Racedays, pre-sale activities and Members' programs whenever required; cultivate full understanding of customer behaviour and needs including existing Members or potential customers, by knowing them during race meetings or events
- Drive Members' attendance at races, participation at various events (racing and lifestyle) and non-raceday dining; conduct prospecting among Members' guests if appropriate
- Handle existing Members’ / public’s inquiries and complaints independently including replies to incoming calls / written and e-correspondences
- Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy (RGP) and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club's business
- Undertake other duties as assigned by management
About You
You should have :
A university degree holder in business administration, marketing, hospitality or related disciplineA minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in sales or hospitality at high-end business clubs / 5-star hotelExperience in sales management and account management roles targeting high-end demographics in Hong KongExcellent telephone manners, interpersonal and communication skillsGood attention to details and logisticsProfessional manner in handling confidential informationHands-on computer skills in MS Word & ExcelFluency in spoken English and Chinese, which includes Cantonese and PutonghuaKnowledge of horse racing is an advantageLess experienced candidates will be considered as assistant managerTerms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
