Description
Manulife is looking for a Senior Director / Director of In-force Management to support the optimization of the in-force insurance portfolio across Asia. It focuses on identifying value opportunities, promoting best practices, and ensuring governance and transparency. The role combines technical expertise with strategic execution and cross-functional / BU collaboration.
Position Responsibilities :
Identify and implement initiatives to enhance in-force portfolio performance.
Support local markets with deep-dive analysis and hands-on project involvement.
Collaborate with senior management to drive IFM priorities.
Develop tools with analytics teams to uncover value opportunities.
Share best practices across markets and foster a collaborative culture.
Integrate in-force insights into new business strategies with Risk and Actuarial.
Align IFM strategies with broader business goals through cross-functional teamwork.
Support capital optimization and earnings remittance initiatives.
Lead regular IFM reporting processes.
Required Qualifications :
University degree or higher.
10+ years in life insurance experience
Strong understanding of actuarial concepts and data analytics.
Independent, critical thinker with strong execution capability.
Strong internal stakeholder engagement across functions and markets.
High ethical standards while being able to manage ambiguity and strategic thinking
Intellectually curious is a key attribute
Direct business unit (BU) experience.
Previous people management experience.
Willingness to travel and take on short-term international assignments.
