Position Statement

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for developing strategy, generating new business and maintaining existing relationships in their designated corporate market. The Snr BDM will focus on small, mid and large opportunities that are both simple to complex in their mobility needs. The Sr. BDM will build market position by identifying, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships with major corporate accounts and industry sectors. Whilst the Snr BDM will have a higher degree of autonomy, it is expected that they will work closely with the (Manager Business Development & or the Business Development Director) to align with strategy and close on more complex & strategic sales opportunities. Establishes and maintains a portfolio of prospects to develop a robust pipeline. The successful individual will ensure design and implementation of strategic territorial marketing and sales plans to ensure all sales goals and objectives are achieved and within prescribed time frame. As a Snr BDM there is an expectation that they will provide guidance to their more junior colleagues (BDA’s & BDM’s) within their team, taking a team leadership role and assisting the MBD / BDD.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Business Development

Work closely with Country Heads to develop strategies and sales objectives to market Information Management Services to multinational or national organizations in his / her territory

New Business Development – generating new leads and identifying key decision makers in potential client businesses

Regional Account Management – manage regional contracts and accounts, expanding the revenue of each customer

Develop proficiency in CIM services

Development of a sustainable pipeline of new business to deliver on strategies and sales goals

Utilize consultative approach to selling, creating client focused solutions

Capitalize and upscale opportunities across all Information Management services and across all Crown brands

Maintain absolute focus on Crown’s organizational objectives to establish growth through cross selling of services

Achieve annual individual sales goals and objectives within the prescribed time frame

Partner with internal stake holders to capitalize cross brand service propositions

Collaborate, prepare and deliver exceptional proposals, presentations, RFPs and other client facing presentations

Prepare and Lead Client Best and Final presentation process where appropriate

Meet and / or exceed established goals, call targets, revenue targets, and new business acquisition initiatives, jointly with sales and management teams

Utilize and maintain accurate records in CRM database

Utilize internal CRM Call Histories to maintain a regular call cycle / follow up contact with potential and target corporate customers, as detailed within the Strategy Plan

Understand and share knowledge of market drivers and anticipate trends

Attend annual sales conferences / training seminars and networking functions on a national, regional and / or local basis

Effectively partner with and support network members in developing corporate leads and sales activity

Create and execute plans to ensure monthly and quarterly account development

Drive and manage local marketing programs in conjunction with marketing department

Travels up to 30% of his / her time to support marketplace activity and to meet sales requirements

Establish a professional, working and consultative relationship with the client, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry

Participate in sales projects or company initiatives to drive corporate vision and strategy

Demonstrate and promote the company vision, strategy and values

Knowledgeable on International Mobility current industry market trends

Ability to read, speak and write English

Multi-lingual skills a requirement (at least local language and English)

Education and / or Experience

College degree or equivalent work experience required

Prefer to have a minimum of five to eight (5-8) years of business development experience within the mobility industry

Proven track record of developing prospects and securing new clients

Prior familiarity with assigned territory

Experienced in the preparation of tenders / bids / proposals

CRP / GMS / GMS-T designation preferred or willingness to obtain as appropriate.

Multi-lingual skills a plus
