Data Engineer / Database Administrator (Up to 65K)

Key Responsibilities :

• Build and maintain a reliable, high-performance data storage system for genomic data.
• Create clear system designs, including data models and flow diagrams.
• Recommend suitable storage solutions (e.g., object storage, databases) based on cost, performance, and scalability.
• Identify and fix performance issues in data storage and retrieval processes.
• Plan for system scalability to handle growing data volumes.
• Work with bioinformaticians, engineers, and DevOps teams to meet data infrastructure needs.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 6 years of related working experience.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, ETL processes, and cloud-based data tools.
• Experience with storage technologies (e.g., object storage, databases) and data security.
• Familiarity with Linux administration, shell scripting, and system monitoring.
• Basic understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Focus on optimizing system performance and scalability.
