We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Sales Manager, Institutional Sales, Global Payments Solutions to drive growth for Hong Kong based Securities Companies by developing innovation cash management solutions.
Institutional client is a strategic sector within CIB and as such brings with it a high level of visibility. Given the global nature of the portfolio, and the bank’s strategic growth ambition in this sector, the role offers excellent exposure to teams and stakeholders across the bank globally.
Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
- Drive new sales opportunities, working closely with Relationship / Coverage Managers, global sales partners and other stakeholders to develop and execute sub-sector strategies and client plans, generate leads and respond to inbound referrals
- Maintain and enhance existing revenue streams and develop new revenue streams by selling innovative GPS solutions to a defined portfolio of clients, and through new client acquisition
- Build relationships with senior Finance, Treasury, and Procurement staff within client organizations, leveraging these to identify client needs and build a strong pipeline of new business opportunities in Hong Kong and across the Asia Pacific region
- Create and lead deal teams to manage complex multi-country cash management transactions. Manage pricing discussions and negotiations, and conduct periodic pricing reviews
- Produce high quality pitch material and timely responses to RFIs and RFPs to secure key mandates
- Be recognized as a GPS specialist with an ability to display competent knowledge of relevant products and services. Drive client engagement, providing thought leadership and sharing best practice cash and liquidity solutions
- Develop the bank's presence in the market, leveraging sector expertise to position HSBC as a leader in FI cash management. This includes organizing and participating in client and industry events and webinars
- Work with stakeholders across the bank including RMs, other HSBC products, and GPS Product Management, Client Implementation and Client Service to ensure a positive client experience
Requirements
To be successful you will need
Experience of International Banks, Securities Companies and or NBFIs. Solid experience working in relevant environment(s), Cash Management / Transaction BankingProven experience of business development and strong knowledge of cash management productsProven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs. Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trustExcellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectivelyFluent in Cantonese and MandarinA comprehensive understanding of risk management of all kinds and proven track record of ensuring own complianceExperience of building and managing complex relationshipsStrong team and interpersonal skills and comfort working at all levels of seniority, both within the HSBC organization and with the senior management of the clientOpening up a world of opportunity
